Yonatan Gefen is a senior R&D engineer on Kitware’s Computer Vision Team located in Arlington, Virginia. As part of the cyber-physical systems group, he develops robust solutions using machine learning, artificial intelligence, and computer vision to help Kitware’s sensing and analytics systems perform in a complex physical environment.

Prior to joining Kitware, Yonatan worked at AWS as a software development engineer in the cross-domain solutions group. He developed cloud services that facilitate data transfer between classification levels in support of critical missions.

Yonatan received his master’s degree in electrical engineering, with a focus in controls, robotics, and dynamical systems, from the University of Maryland, College Park. He also received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the same university.
