VTK 5.4 Released

VTK 5.4 was released on March 26, 2009; this release is now available for download from the VTK website. A full list of changes is available through the VTK user’s mailing list archives. The major changes in this release are as follows:

The freetype font engine was updated to v2.3.7

Two new views were added: TreeRingView & IcicleView

The Geovis kit is now included with VTK
