Tom Osika joined Kitware in February, 2020, as part of the Open Source Software Technology Program (OSTP). As part of the program, he will be working towards a Master’s degree in Computer Science starting in the Fall of 2020 while working at Kitware.

Tom graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a B.S. in Computer Science in December, 2019. At Rensselaer, he joined a research project in the subject of Health Economics. The main goal of the project was to analyze the effect of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) on U.S. physician’s patient-sharing networks and prescription drug practices using publicly available data. Also at Rensselaer, Tom studied data mining, network science, and general software development.
