Kitware Sponsors MICCAI Society Young Scientist Publication Impact Award
Kitware applauds Dr. Caroline Brun from the University of Pennsylvania, winner of the 2012 Young Scientist Publication Impact Award at the 15th International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention (MICCAI). The Kitware-sponsored award recognizes scientists who are making impactful progress on the field of medical image analysis while early in their careers.
The Young Scientist Publication Impact Award is determined by a review of MICCAI papers written by a young scientist within the past five years, that have gone on to impact the MICCAI field in terms of citations, secondary citations, subsequent publications, and h-index.
Dr. Brun won for the paper “A Tensor-Based Morphometry Study of Genetic Influences on Brain Structure using a New Fluid Registration Method,” authored by C. Brun, N. Lepore, X. Pennec, Y.-Y. Chou, K. McMahon, G.I. de Zubicaray, M. Meredith, M.J. Wright, A.D. Lee, M. Barysheva, A.W. Toga, P.M. Thompson.
Dr. Brun is a current Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Radiology at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research focuses on quantitative medical image analysis, particularly statistical registration methods for brain structural MR images, tensor imaging, and high-angular resolution diffusion imaging projects.
Congratulations to Dr. Brun and her co-authors!
