While completing his Master of Science in Computer Systems Engineering at RPI, Jake conducted extensive research on the University’s CCNI Blue Gene Supercomputer and published his results at the ACM GIS 2008 conference. Prior to joining Kitware, Jake worked as a Systems Administrator at RPI, where he administered 30+ Linux servers for faculty, staff, and students; implemented a scalable server system to support department research and classes; maintained networks for 6 Class C subnets; and set up automated 24/7 monitoring, alerts, and backup systems for all services.
