Colonie Central High School Senior Selected as 2024 Open Door Scholarship Recipient
Kitware is thrilled to announce the recipient of the 2024 Open Door Scholarship. This year’s award goes to Nosazeme Omorogbe, a senior at Colonie Central High School in Albany, New York. Nosazeme has shown exceptional promise in computer science, consistently earning top grades and becoming a leader and role model on the varsity women’s soccer team. She plans to attend Columbia University in the fall to pursue a degree in computer science.
Kitware launched this scholarship program in 2021 to help create a more diverse and inclusive workplace and, ultimately, make a difference in the computing industry. Nosazeme stood out not only for her academic achievements but also for her dedication to using technology to have a positive impact on the world.
That dedication to having a positive impact on the world is one that Kitware shares. We believe in the power of education and are committed to supporting future leaders in technology. By awarding the Open Door Scholarship, we hope to open more opportunities for underrepresented students. We congratulate Nosazeme on her achievements and look forward to seeing the impact she will make in the tech world.
The Open Door Scholarship program is for Black and African American high school seniors pursuing a degree in computer science. Applications for the 2025 Open Door Scholarship will be accepted starting in January. For more information, visit kitware.com/scholarships.
