Caitlin Ross, Ph.D. is a senior R&D engineer working remotely on Kitware’s Scientific Computing Team. She helps develop Kitware’s open source toolkits ADIOS2, ParaView, and VTK. She is the lead developer for the Fides library, which provides a data schema for ADIOS2-enabled simulations to support interoperable visualization services.

In addition to her developer projects, Caitlin is also on Kitware’s Talent Acquisition Committee, where she helps increase awareness of the impactful work Kitware does and our company culture and values to attract individuals who are passionate about high-quality software and research. 

Caitlin received her Ph.D. in computer science from Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2019. In 2014, she received her bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
