Scientific visualization methods have been successfully applied to spatial-temporal data, however not all data can be processed using such methods. Examples include metadata; document and text repositories; ontologies; causality networks; biological and molecular interaction maps; genomic and communication networks; and business data including financials and marketing demographics. Kitware, in conjunction with Sandia National Labs, has developed an extensive set of informatics tools which combine information visualization, statistical analysis, and linked views to facilitate interactive data exploration. These informatics tools are directly integrated into Kitware's VTK toolkit, making it easy to create applications that blend informatics with scientific visualization. The OverView application, a specialized version of ParaView, enables us to offer a scalable solution that can grow as data size increases.
