Karthik Krishnan received his M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Arizona, Tucson in 2004 and a B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from BITS, Pilani (India) in 2002. His thesis at the University of Arizona dealt with compression and transmission techniques for remote volume visualization. As a graduate student, he spent the summers at Siemens Corporate Research in Princeton, NJ working on wavelet based compression schemes for remote volume visualization.

Mr. Krishnan joined Kitware in December 2004 where he works on both medical image analysis and visualization problems. During his time at Kitware, he has contributed to the Insight Segmentation and Registration Toolkit (ITK), Visualization Toolkit (VTK) and VTKEdge. His interests include image registration, segmentation and Computer-Aided Diagnosis.

Mr. Krishnan currently holds 1 US patent.
