Jon Crall joined Kitware in June of 2007, directly after graduating from Shenendehowa High School. He studied computer science through F.I.R.S.T. Robotics, AP Computer Science and through independent study. In Jon's first summer at Kitware he optimized the packing system in the EStore and wrote tests for LaserUT.

After his first summer at Kitware Jon attended his freshman year of college at SUNYIT, returning on school holidays to intern at Kitware. During this time he developed a python script converting VTK Tcl tests into C# for ActiViz .NET testing.

After finishing his freshman year, Jon returned to Kitware for another summer to continue work on the ActiViz project. Jon plans to attend at least one more year of SUNYIT with the hopes of earning a degree in computer science with a minor in math.
